# Auto-reply to Instagram and Facebook comments

> Turn post comments into conversations with public replies and private Instagram or Messenger DMs in Fliqr AI.

Comment automation watches comments on your posts and can:

* Reply **publicly** in the comment thread
* Send a **private reply** in Instagram DM or Messenger
* Optionally like the comment or ignore certain keywords

Use it to convert engaged viewers into chats without manually answering every comment.

## Open the tool

Go to **Tools → Facebook / Instagram Comment Automation**, then click **Add Post** and name the automation.

## Configure tracking

### Tracks comments on

| Option         | Behavior                                                             |
| -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| All posts      | Runs on new organic posts for the connected Page / Instagram account |
| Specific posts | Runs only on the posts you select                                    |

### Reply to

| Option                | Behavior                 |
| --------------------- | ------------------------ |
| All comments          | Replies to every comment |
| Comments equal to     | Exact keyword match      |
| Comments that contain | Partial keyword match    |

## Public and private replies

    Choose what to send in DM: text, a published flow, a product, or another supported reply type.

    Add one or more public comment variations. Fliqr AI rotates variations so replies feel less repetitive.

    Save the automation and turn it on.

<Tip>
  Private replies are ideal for sending links, collecting details, or starting a flow. Public replies should stay short and on-brand.

## Optional controls

Use **More options** when you need finer control:

1. **Ignore keywords** — skip comments that contain excluded words
2. **Non-subscribers** — reply even if the person is not yet a contact
3. **Auto-like** — like the user's comment
4. **Repeat commenters** — include people who already commented on earlier posts
5. **Replies to comments** — also handle replies inside the comment thread

## Limits to know

  Validate comment automation on organic posts first. Behavior on ads placements can differ, and Instagram Ads comment automation is not always supported the same way as organic posts.
