# Set up Instagram conversation starters

> Show FAQ-style prompts when someone opens a new Instagram DM with your Fliqr AI-connected account.

Conversation starters replace a generic empty composer with suggested questions. When someone opens a DM with your business for the first time, they see prompts you define — each mapped to a flow.

## Why use them

* Make it obvious how to start a chat
* Route people into the right flow immediately
* Improve first-response conversion on Instagram and Messenger

## Create conversation starters

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open channel settings">
    Go to **Settings → Channels → Instagram** (or Messenger, if configuring that channel).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Edit conversation starters">
    Find **Conversation Starter** and click **Edit**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add questions and flows">
    Enter a frequently asked question, choose the response flow, then click **+** to add it. Repeat for each prompt.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save** in the top right.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Keep labels short (a few words). Map each starter to a focused published flow instead of one giant catch-all flow.
