# Send Messenger marketing messages

> Use Messenger List opt-in to message people about promotions outside the standard 24-hour window.

Messenger marketing messages (Messenger List) let people opt in to receive campaign updates outside the standard 24-hour messaging window.

## How opt-in works

During an open messaging window, ask for permission to send marketing messages. After opt-in, you can broadcast eligible campaign messages according to Meta's frequency and policy rules.

## Send a broadcast to your list

    Use a flow that requests marketing-message opt-in while the user is in session.

    Publish the flow you want opted-in contacts to receive.

    Open **Broadcast**, choose Messenger marketing / list recipients, select the flow, and send.

## Best practices

* Make the value of opt-in obvious (offers, launches, reminders)
* Keep frequency reasonable
* Provide an easy way to stop receiving marketing messages
