# Connect WhatsApp with a Meta System User

> Manually connect a WhatsApp Business Account to Fliqr AI using a Meta System User access token.

Use this method when you need to connect WhatsApp with credentials from Meta Business Manager instead of Embedded Signup.

## Create a System User

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Business settings">
    In Meta Business Manager, go to **Business settings → Users → System users**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the user">
    Click **Add** and create a System User with an admin or appropriate role for WhatsApp assets.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign your WABA">
    Assign your **WhatsApp Business Account** to that System User with full control.
  </Step>

## Generate an access token

<Steps>
  <Step title="Generate token">
    Open the System User and generate a token.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select permissions">
    Include at least `whatsapp_business_messaging` and `whatsapp_business_management`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the token">
    Store it securely. You will paste it into Fliqr AI next.
  </Step>

## Connect in Fliqr AI

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your WABA ID">
    In Meta Business Manager, open your WhatsApp Business Account and copy the **WABA ID**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open WhatsApp settings">
    In Fliqr AI, go to **Settings → Channels → WhatsApp**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter credentials">
    Paste the WABA ID, Phone Number ID, and System User access token, then save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test">
    Send an inbound WhatsApp message to your business number and confirm delivery in the inbox.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Prefer a long-lived System User token for production. Rotate it if it is ever exposed.
</Tip>
