# Block a contact

> Block unwanted contacts from the Fliqr AI Inbox or a Flow so they stop receiving automation and cluttering the queue.

Blocking stops unwanted contacts from engaging your bots and Inbox.

## From the Inbox

1. Select the contact/conversation.
2. Open the **menu**.
3. Choose **Block contact**.

## From a Flow

Add **Action → Inbox → Block contact** for abuse or opt-out enforcement paths.

Filter blocked contacts later with the [Blocked filter](/docs/inbox/filter-conversations).

  Blocking is different from deleting. Prefer block for spam; use [Delete contact](/docs/inbox/delete-contact) only when you must remove data.
