Every AI Agent in Fliqr AI needs a language model to generate responses. You can use the included OpenAI quota that comes with your plan, or connect your own API key to use a different provider or model. Bringing your own key gives you full control over costs, model selection, and rate limits.

Overview

Fliqr AI supports major AI providers — OpenAI, Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), DeepSeek, and xAI. Each provider offers distinct trade-offs between cost, speed, and reasoning depth. You configure providers once in Settings; all AI Agents in your account can then reference them. Your provider selection determines which models are available when you create or edit an AI Agent. You can use different providers for different agents, or set a single provider as your account default.

Prerequisites

  • An active Fliqr AI account on any paid plan
  • An API key from your chosen provider (see provider links below)
  • AI Agents overview — understand what an Agent is before configuring its model

Supported Providers and Models

The Pro plan includes 5 million tokens of GPT-4o mini per month at no additional cost. Once that quota is exhausted, Fliqr AI pauses AI Agent responses until the next billing cycle or until you connect your own OpenAI API key.

Connect a Provider

1

Open Integrations

Go to Settings → Integrations → OpenAI.
2

Enter your API key

Paste your OpenAI Secret Key into the API Key field. You can generate one at platform.openai.com/api-keys.
3

Select a default model

Choose the model that AI Agents will use when no per-agent override is set. For most deployments, start with GPT-4o mini.
4

Save

Click Save. Fliqr AI validates the key against the OpenAI API before confirming.

Choosing the Right Model

Different tasks call for different models. The table below summarizes the practical trade-offs:
For cost-sensitive deployments, GPT-4o mini and Gemini 1.5 Flash offer the best quality-to-cost ratio among current models. Start with one of these and upgrade only if you encounter reasoning gaps in your specific use case.
API keys are stored encrypted, but they are visible to anyone with access to your Settings page. Do not share Settings access with team members you would not trust with your provider billing account.
