Story mention reply sends a message when another account mentions your business in their Instagram Story. Use it to thank people, share an offer, or start a lead flow.

Before you start

  • Instagram is connected in Fliqr AI
  • You have a published flow whose message type supports Instagram (or omnichannel content that can send on Instagram)

Set up Story mention replies

Create the reply flow

In the Flow Builder, create the message you want to send when someone mentions you. Publish the flow.

Open Instagram channel settings

Go to Settings → Channels → Instagram.

Choose the mention reply flow

Find Instagram Mention Reply (or Story Mention Reply), select your published flow, and click Save.

Test

From another account, mention your Professional account in a Story and confirm the DM arrives.
The mention notification is inbound-only. Fliqr AI can reply in DM; it cannot post content into the other person’s Story through the API.

Tips

  • Keep the first message short. Offer a clear next step (button or quick reply).
  • Use a dedicated flow for mentions so you can measure conversion separately from Story replies.
  • Combine with conversation starters so returning users still see useful prompts.
