The greeting message is the short description shown on your Messenger entry point before someone taps Get Started. Use it to explain what your Page helps with.

Set the greeting

Open Messenger settings

Go to Settings → Channels → Messenger.

Edit the greeting

Find Greeting and click Edit.

Write and save

Enter a clear greeting, then save.

Multiple languages

If your audience uses more than one language, add language variants from the language selector when editing the greeting. Messenger shows the version that matches the person’s app language when available.
Keep the greeting to one or two short sentences. Put detailed offers in the welcome message flow instead.
